Precision Sharpening Tools,
Crafted for Every Blade

Intelitopia builds knife sharpening stone sets for home cooks, professional chefs, and outdoor enthusiasts who want consistent, razor-sharp results. Our dual grit whetstones use premium-grade aluminum oxide abrasive that holds its surface flat and cuts steel fast.

Every Intelitopia whetstone kit ships with a 400/1000 coarse stone, a 3000/8000 fine polishing stone, a genuine leather strop, a flattening stone, a bamboo base, three non-slip rubber bases, and a knife angle guide. You do not need separate purchases or extra accessories — this one box covers the full sharpening process from repair to mirror polish.

Step 1

Soak the 400/1000 grit whetstone in water for 5–10 minutes. Start on the 400 grit side to repair chips and reshape dull edges.

Step 2

Flip to the 1000 grit side to refine the edge. Use the included angle guide to hold a steady 15–20 degree bevel on each stroke.

Step 3

Move to the 3000/8000 polishing stone. The 3000 grit removes micro-scratches, and the 8000 grit produces a mirror-like finish.

Step 4

Finish on the leather strop with polishing compound. This final pass aligns the blade edge and delivers a cut that glides through paper.

The coarse side (400 grit) repairs chipped and badly damaged blades fast. Flip to the 1000 grit side for regular weekly maintenance and to set a clean, sharp working edge on kitchen knives, hunting knives, and pocket knives.

3000/8000 Grit Stone

The 3000 grit surface smooths out fine scratches left by the coarse stone and prepares the blade for a polished edge. The 8000 grit side brings your knife to a mirror finish — sharp enough to slice tomatoes paper-thin without pressure.

Bamboo Base & Non-Slip Rubber Pads. The bamboo holder locks each whetstone in place during sharpening. Three silicone rubber bases grip your countertop so the stone does not slide — even with heavy strokes.

Leather Strop with Polishing Compound. After the 8000 grit stone, run your blade across the leather strop to remove the final burr and align the cutting edge. The included compound speeds up the stropping process.

Flattening Stone (Lapping Plate). Over time, sharpening stones develop uneven grooves. The included flattening stone resurfaces your whetstones so they stay dead-flat and deliver consistent results every session.

Angle Guide — holds your blade at a steady 15° or 20° bevel for repeatable edges.

Premium Corundum — hard-wearing aluminum oxide abrasive that cuts steel quickly without crumbling.

Pick Your Grit Level

Not every knife needs the same treatment. A dull chef's knife with visible chips should start at 400 grit. A blade that just needs a quick weekly touch-up only needs the 3000/8000 stone. The Intelitopia set covers both scenarios and everything in between.

400 grit — heavy repair and re-profiling. 1000 grit — standard sharpening for weekly use. 3000 grit — pre-polishing and scratch removal. 8000 grit — mirror finish and final honing. Leather strop — burr removal and edge alignment. This four-stage system works on kitchen knives, hunting blades, pocket knives, cleavers, scissors, chisels, and woodworking tools.
